The Oshima Group mostly crops out on Oshima Island. In the Karakuwa district of the Karakuwa-Oshika Sub-belt, Mesozoic rocks are represented by the Karakuwa Group and the Oshima Group within the wide, south-plunging Tsunakizaka Syncline.
